Hola amigos, my name is Mallo and I am bringing this...tentacled abomination to the game.

Maya is part human, part octopus, all weirdo. Some poor sap generations earlier in her family tree got roped into some highly controversial experiments meant to fuse human and animal DNA, and BAM! Tentacled descendants! Unfortunately health care for people like herself is understandably limited, and as a wanna-be doctor-slash-marine biologist Maya is a slave to the duality between her altruistic desires to help relieve the poor health conditions of her bay (which is home to many marine hybrids not unlike herself), and her selfish fascinations with wanting to cut everyone up and gaze lovingly at their innards.

She's a bit...tentacles-on, so ready yourself for examination upon first meeting, especially if you're non-human (though Maya won't be siccing her tentacles on anyone without prior permission from the players, I promise you that. Everyone else just gets intensely stared at and maybe begged to let Maya look inside their mouths and ears).

I'm bringing in this guy by the name of Sam Erstwhile to the game. He's pretty much a timid and socially awkward young man who would rather spend his life in a dark corner of a library somewhere than actually interacting with people. He's very shy and can't fight to save his life, so he'll probably be found running away screaming like a girl when it comes to facing death and murder and all that good stuff. Sorry, guys, he'll be the worst when it comes to investigating anything.

He really loves fairytales, though, and can be found reading up all the books on them and just talking about them and reciting them by heart, so it's fair to say he's a little obsessed. He also has a younger sister he loves dearly, though...he won't be talking much about her, for certain reasons.

Hello! My name is Dal, it's good to meet you all; character-wise, I'm going to be bringing you Lysandre from Pokémon XY! For those who are canon-familiar, he's taken from Y version, as it's less of a logicbomb and general mess all around plot-wise; for those who are not...ahahahaha oh boy.

Lysandre comes from a long line of freakishly tall nobility, as he's directly descended from one of the princes of Kalos from way back in the day; however, he's got the benefit of being Royalty That Actually Does Something. He's a former trainer (as in the obtain-Dex-get-companion-go-out-into-the-world-try-to-catch-'em-all sort of trainer), though if he's asked about it he'll say that he's found it doesn't suit his lifestyle and he doesn't travel like that anymore; since then, he's studied under the most esteemed Professor in the region, and nowadays he runs his own labs that specialize in experimental research and technology. When he's not doing things like literally inventing hologram technology for kicks, he runs a café in his spare time, because clearly we can't go five minutes without a reminder that this is supposed to be PokéFrance; he's also in charge of an organization known as Team Flare, which specializes in acts of terrorism, grand larceny, having really questionable fashion sense, generally annoying the hell out of the region, and aspiring to commit mass genocide in the name of beauty, "mercy", and a healthy sense of why the hell not.

I am bringing you Franziska von Karma of the Ace Attorney courtroom sims. This lady has been a fully qualified and highly successful prosecutor since she was thirteen, and then when she was eighteen she found out that her perfect rolemodel of a father was kind of a megalomaniac and had spent like fifteen years plotting to frame her adopted brother for murder. Said adopted brother then disappeared for a while to work out some issues, leaving an unnecessarily emo letter that he really should have proofread better because it totally read like a suicide note. So naturally the correct response was to go get herself assigned to the same cases as the defense attorney who had exposed the plot, who then beat her in court several times through the power of being the protagonist.

She's kind of full of herself and kind of short on social skills outside of the courtroom. She also thinks whipping people is an appropriate way to show displeasure. I'm very sorry - if you'd like to opt out of this happening to your character, I've got a permissions post here. She's recently learned the true meaning of friendship started to accept that there is more to life than winning court cases, but it's an uphill battle.

Also she uses the word "fool" more than any one person really needs to. In her defense, you are all exceedingly foolish.

Helllooooooooooooooooooooooooooo everyone! I'm Katar and I'm bringing that dork of a protagonist from Homestuck: John Egbert!

He is quite possibly one of the worst options I could have picked for murder school but we'll see how that goes. For those who aren't canon familiar, he's basically just this dorky goober with questionable movie taste and a hatred for all things Betty Crocker (she's evil, you know. He tried to warn everyone but they just wouldn't listen!). He also likes pranks, magic tricks, and paranormal lore. He's generally just an all-around funny guy who's easy to get along with, so long as he's not not in a bad mood. Because then he's kind of prone to fits where he'll yell at the sky and possibly pass out in driveways or aggressively iron his pants.

Hi all! I'm Typhie, and I'm proudly waving the somewhat-obscure vidya game flag by bringing in Page from Fable 3.

She's the leader of her city's resistance movement against their tyrant ruler, so she's the tough sort, and tends to be a little, ah....brash and unpleasant when you first meet her - mainly because she doesn't trust easily. She's got a heart of gold, however, and just wants to free everyone in Bowerstone (her home city) from exploitation and have them live happily. She'll be completely out of her depth on the island, with all its modern bits and bobs - she comes from the fantasy equivalent of Industrial England, so all these crazy things like fridges and light-switches and modern clothing are going to do her head in (which, of course, is part of the fun!). 

Her title is Super High School Level Strategist, as that's what she loves doing - plotting all sorts of schemes against tyranny and egotistical industrial leaders! AHAA Wow I'm amazingly late to the party, so HERE WE GO.

HELLO FRIENDS, my name is Chi and I've brought in a certain obscure canon protag by the name of Jimmy Two-Shoes from- you guessed it- Jimmy Two-Shoes! My plurk is winterbolt so feel free to add me! As soon as I get as many of you lovely people added as I can I'll make an intro plurk there and tell you a little more about myself.

Let me tell you a bit about Jimmy here. With a title like SHSL Positivity, you can pretty well guess that optimism is the name of this boy's game. This is ironic in the darkest of ways, considering the fact that Jimmy lives in a town called Miseryville which is crawling with demons. (And if you haven't caught on yet, the implication is that Miseryville is- yes- HELL. How Jimmy ended up in Hell, however, remains to be seen.)

Jimmy is an exuberant, excitable, kindhearted and friendly teen who's main goal in life is to bring a smile to everyone's face. It's practically impossible to break Jimmy's stride into the halls of happiness (though I'm eager to see if murder will be enough to change that, ehehh) Though...if you think Jimmy's just going to be an easy target? Watch out. This kid is alarmingly tolerant to pain and though he's a string-bean he's like a brick wall, and it's going to take a lot more than beatings and lacerations to make this kid kick the bucket.

I'm really REALLY excited to play with you all! I know this experience is gonna be awesmazing~

My name is Tora and I bring you the miniature (SHSL) Mad Scientist, Heloise, also from Jimmy Two-Shoes! Which is a delightfully demented but sadly little-known cartoon from Canada, about some kids in what is implied to be Hell. But the whole series (sans one episode that's DVD-only) is on YouTube in HD semi-officially, so that's a thing.

Hely hails from Miseryville (Hell) and works for its ruler Lucius Heinous VII (Satan, or at least the latest in line) inventing all sorts of insane and nightmarish things, when she's not hanging out with her best friend/obsessive crush Jimmy. While she may literally create misery for a living, she's not quite so big on the whole killing thing. Clearly, murder is for hacks. She's kind of twisted and sadistic but actually pretty fun once you get to know her. ... Maybe. If you don't mind being strapped to a rack occasionally.
Also expect that she's barely going to be letting Jimmy out of her sight, which should make things especially difficult for anyone looking to make him a victim. They're totally on a ~*~romantic getaway~*~, Jimmy just doesn't know about the romantic part yet.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late intro. My name is San and I'm bringing Agent Phil Coulson from the TV series, Marvel: Agents of SHIELD. He's a veteran agent of a clandestine (well, not so much anymore these days) organization dedicated to maintaining peace for the human world and protecting humans from all these alien tech that's been floating around ever since Avengers.

Phil takes his job pretty seriously, but he's friendly and caring towards those under his care. He's got a good sense of humour, throwing in quips every now and then. He just generally gets along with his team, and is looked up by them as a capable and efficient team leader. Phil does have his own problems that mainly centre around a magical place called Tahiti but for the most part he projects an air of confidence and calmness, and mostly keeps his troubles to himself.

I look forward to playing with all of you.

As you can guess by the title SHSL Hacker, Roxy knows a thing or two about computer coding. She's also an avid retro gamer (and just came from the "game" of Sburb, though that game is on a whole other level from shit like Pokemon or Final Fantasy II). To be fair legit everything is retro to her, since she was raised in the 2400s after humanity had ended in 2011 (thanks to the evil Betty Crocker who is... a fish troll alien. that's a longer story.).

Irisu's entering the game as an SHSL Wordsmith for her acute imagination and literary skills. She's also probably the quietest girl you'll ever meet so you'll never guess her abilities at face value. Her thoughts operate on a completely different level of clarity which, well, hurts. She hasn't committed, but definitely has planned murder out. Whether she went through with it was determined by the results of a meditative game of tetris in her head.
