Goooooood day, darlings, and welcome to Dangan Roleplay Round 3! You survived the reservecopia and app process to land a spot in Hotel Murder for the next few weeks. We mods are ecstatic to see old and new faces among our cast this time around so let's get this show on the road!

The game is set to begin on Monday (6/15) with a mingle log where characters will wake up in their own personal hotel rooms with no memory of how they got there and a shitty stuffed animal telling them to go off each other to go home. How fun!

But before we send you all off to the Hotel Monofornia, let's get to know each other a little better, shall we? Feel free to use this post to introduce yourselves as players, plot with each other, screech incoherently, wonder what your characters did to deserve this, the whole nine yards. Wash is an ex-Freelancer which means he has more baggage than Delta airlines and represses the shit out of it like a healthy well-adjusted adult does. Once you get to know him (and you give him a reason not to be distrustful) he's actually quite sweet and though.

At his current canon point he thinks he's still a Freelancer (and the worst one at that, good gracious) who eats through his helmet because a little green hologram told him he could so he'll be considerably more open and trusting before he starts regaining memories of how his life went to hell. :D

But seriously, Haruka is a loud, bouncy delinquent prone to mood swings, tangents, and really good muffins, and she's part of a tragic backstory club that likes to pretend it's a baseball team. Hi guys! My name is Redd, I was here in rounds one and two as Frank Archer and I'm swapping out one crazy person for another! I'll be playing Ryuunosuke Uryuu from Fate/Zero! Ryuunosuke is surprisingly not a raver (never trust the gifs), but he is an artist! Why, you could even say he's the Super High School Level Sculptor! Now you might be wondering why Ryuunosuke's covered in blood in those gifs up there. Well that's a funny story, because Ryuunosuke's not a normal artist. See, he doesn't care for traditional mediums because they're boring. In fact, he's not even really all that big on art, he's just interested in killing people and doing cool things with the bodies. Did I mention that he's a serial killer? Whoops.

Ryuunosuke's entire existence can be summed up with this hideous abomination. He really likes everything cool. His definition of "cool" does not match up with a sane person's. He's a hot mess.

That said, since Ryuunosuke is absolutely awful, I completely understand if you don't want to thread with him. I have a permissions post set up over here if you'd like to let me know what you're comfortable discussing with him. I will be defaulting to only discussing murders and not the terrible things he does with the bodies unless you specifically tell me that it's alright (and even then the comment will have warnings in the header). Hello hello! My name is VG and I'll try to keep this short and to the point. This here is Isabelle and she's from a simple game called Animal Crossing: New Leaf. When I say simple - for those who don't know - Animal Crossing is a game where you create a character and move into a town inhabited by animal people basically, and game time actually moves with actual time. New Leaf is the latest installment on the 3DS.

Anyway, Isabelle herself is the Secretary of Town Hall and she works with the Mayor (aka YOUR CHARACTER) in order to make it thrive again. And she's been waiting a while for the new Mayor to arrive so... mistakes are made! So, she's cheerful, eager to help, and a little scatterbrained, but she means well especially when it comes to the Village and doesn't like confrontation. She looks forward to meeting everyone! And then becoming absolutely terrified of everyone.

First things first, I'm Alex! I'm a returning player, albeit one coming back with a hilariously different character type this go-around (I played Schuldig in Round 2, and this girl is about as un-Schuldig as you can get), and I recognize some faces around here but I'm really excited to get to know everyone too!

This is Meridiana Everett, from Kaori Yuki's Count Cain manga! She's the SHSL Seeress and, in true Kaori Yuki form, comes straight out of a backstory of mystery, intrigue, bodice-ripper-esque panel layouts, and a bunch of kind of questionable nonsensical occult shit because that's just Kaori Yuki for you. EDIT: ALSO SHE'S IN ROOM 110 WHERE MY ROOM NEIGHBORS AT?

As such, I'd like to ask that you please check out and make use of her permissions post, as some aspects of her backstory are pretty questionable and I want to make sure that everyone involved is comfortable and having fun while playing off of her.

Personality-wise, she's a sweet girl hailing in from London in 1897, so if you're looking for someone who knows the meaning of every flower in the book or an authority in how many times you're supposed to change your dress in a single day to be truly mannerly (spoilers: it's six), then she's your girl! Hence, there'll probably be some culture shock but please be nice to the cute disoriented girl.

The lady I'm bringing with me is Mononobe no Futo from Touhou Project (as your friendly neighborhood SHSL Hermit) aka a series of doujin bullet hell video games that primarily features ladies in silly clothing spamming lasers at each other :U Futo here is one of the newer characters, and she is a gem...

tl;dr she is based off of a historical figure (Futsuhime if your character's a history buff) involved in a nasty religious war, except her religious war has Prince Shoutoku as a woman who was secretly practicing Taoism in the shadows in order to become an immortal wizard a hermit. This all took place 1400 years ago and by the memloss mechanic Futo will be thinking it's the 700s at most, please excuse her ineptness with technology and pseudo-Shakespearean dialect 8D By the by, she's friendly and cheerful, but also doesn't know when to turn down the fuckin volume and has gallons of youkai-racism baggage, sorry non-human friends. Futo........admittedly has an arson problem, she deeply enjoys setting things on fire when she is distressed, double apologies for that.

Hello hello! My name is Dal, and I think several of you know me already – however, there are several more who do not, and either way, it's great to meet all of you! I was in the game's previous rounds with Lysandre (from Pokémon XY), and since that obviously went really well for everyone and in no way involved taking a children's video game and nuking an entire region of it off the map, I'm back again and bringing you...uh, this.

"This" being Shuu Tsukiyama, from Tokyo Ghoul – to his knowledge, he's 21 and a student finishing up his fourth year of college. He's majoring in Social Welfare, and when he's not studying he's a cultured motherfucker who likes languages, reading, floriography, music, and gourmet food. ...He's also narcissistic and melodramatic, to a point where one would be able to reasonably assume that he's determinedly out to make everyone's life just that much more surreal.

For those who are canon-familiar, he's initially from the Gourmet arc and working his way forward; for those who are not, "he's a hot mess" pretty much sums up everything.

Also, and this is important – Tsukiyama knows better than to talk about such things out in the open, but his canon does contain possibly triggery or generally repulsive content, most prevalently themes of pseudo-cannibalism / hunting humans down for both food and sport. If you would prefer to not tag with him for that reason, you are more than welcome to let me know, and if a thread...takes a turn that makes you uncomfortable, please let me know - I won't be mad, and I'd like to know about this to make it a more pleasant time for everyone. HI. I'm Ashley, and I have been waiting for this moment since like two weeks into round 1. By that I mean, I've never played in Dangan Roleplay before, but I've stalked the shit out of every round. I look forward to finally being on the other side of all the despair-inducing madness.

My lucky pick for this darling game is Allison Underhill but just call her Allie because that's what everyone does. She's a from a cartoon that no one watched but a lot of people seem to vaguely remember as existing called Kaijudo! The full series title is Kaijudo: Rise/Clash of the Duel Masters depending on the season (there were two) and yes, that is the phrase Duel Masters in there, so yes, I am talking about a Western reboot of the Duel Masters card game franchise. The show itself is in my opinion really good, but it didn't take and I cry about this daily.

Now that that out of the way, Allie's a sweet, popular rich 14-year-old (as far as she knows) who is also an acolyte to a secret martial art called -- what else? -- kaijudo, wherein those practicing it try to keep creatures from another dimension from causing havoc on Earth and also protect the creatures from those who would do them harm! So you know, typical kids-and-monsters stuff. She's got a strong sense of right and wrong, and if you bully the weak or defenseless, you do not earn ANY points with her, but she's also incredibly sly. I mean regularly-sweet-talks-the-villains sly. It fits, since the elemental world she connects most with is Darkness.

As long as you don't set off any of her predetermined bad-person vibes, she'll probably make friends with you easily! And spew off embarrassing internet-speak slang and occasional Cali Bay Area phrases, she's a teenager please forgive her for the former. She's not much without her monster-friend, but she's gonna be fired-up to get out of the Hotel Monofornia through whatever means necessary--except murder, of course!

Allie's title is SHSL Guile and she'll be in Room 119. Drop by, make friends, make enemies, the like. Hello everyone, I'm Aki, and I'm bringing you Ulysses from an obscure 80's cartoon called Ulysses 31. It was part of the sci-fi boom in the late 70's/early 80's created by Star Wars, and can basically be summarized as "The Odyssey IN SPACE!" (Not to be confused with A Space Odyssey, completely different thing.)

Thankfully, Ulysses isn't nearly as much of a jerk as Odysseus. He's not very emotional, other than being pretty physically affectionate, with the determination of a shounen protagonist.

(Also I am absolutely cool with your character being familiar with the Odyssey, if that's the kind of thing they'd be familiar with. He won't be familiar with it, because he apparently knows about Greek gods but not the myths they're involved in, somehow.)

He's been given the title SHSL Space Pilot and is in room 107, so depending on how the rooms are numbered he's either neighbors with 105/109 or 106/108, I think.

Anyway, he's a midboss kind of character in the Holy Grail War (which is sort of like Pokemon with legendary heroes except, like, super complicated) who gets hit with the worst luck in the world, although part of it is being high INT low WIS and screwing himself over in several hilarious ways, like summoning a hero who's superpower is causing women to fall in love with him... while he's on a team with his fiancee... who doesn't actually love him.................

...yeah......... also he's going to be in a wheelchair and have no idea why his legs don't have function, so uh, Room 104 neighbors, please help until he gets used to it

Hi everyone it's nice to meet you all! My name is Cat and I am that last person who somehow managed to snag a spot at the very last possible moment. Some of you may know me from back during Round 2 as the hyperactive monkey-boy with an insatiable appetite, Son Goku. But this time around I will be coming back with a much more mellow, much more nerdy, fairy alien by the name Rufioh Nitram from the canon Homestuck who will be staying in Room 112!

Rufioh is an enthusiastic lost-boy with a carefree lifestyle and a cheerful disposition. He loves making friends and is an pretty chill and sociable guy. Despite it all though he still manages to frequently land himself in to quite a bit of trouble. Most of it being due to the fact that he is supposed to be canonically quite good looking. Which usually leads to situations like this happening--

Did I also mention he's a huge nerd? Because I wasn't lying about that. Think of the most embarrassing stereotypical anime fanboy you can come up with and you will have Rufioh Nitram. He enjoys spending his free time running around in the woods with his fellow "Lost Weeaboos" (yes that's what they called themselves), roughhousing and binging on anime marathons. Although his utmost favorite pastime has to be playing his homeworlds equivalent to Pokemon, Fiduspawn. He is the greatest master that ever was. It was him. He bred them all. All 649.

I'm also taking him from a much earlier canon point then he was shown at during canon, so wow waking up to that sudden growth spurt and voice drop is sure going to be a surprise. Yay puberty!
