the mastermind meme

You asked for it, we're
What does this mean exactly? It means your character is the one responsible for everything! They've been controlling Monobear from the shadows (or maybe they have an assistant to help them, possibly even one of your classmates!), they've been putting forth the motives, running the trials, all of it! And now they've finally chosen to reveal themselves and their true motives.
What are their motives? Why do they want to spread despair? Are they somehow connected to the late Junko Enoshima? And most importantly what is their snazzy Monobear-themed look like? You decide!
Threading reactions is highly encouraged and feel free to AU things up to mix up our current survivor pool as much as you'd like.

That was the judge's job, after all. To listen to all sides of the story and pronounce a verdict wisely based on the evidence. What kind of judge would Juniper be if she didn't listen? If she didn't allow every one of the criminals here on this island to try and redeem themselves? To defend themselves. It definitely wouldn't be fair, and justice was something that Juniper valued foremost.
The elevator brings everyone to one of the courtrooms, though it certainly isn't anything like the courtrooms in past trials; the walls are a deep red, the floor black. It certainly holds a more serious, ominous air to it unlike the other elaborate rooms that Monobear had provided. A large judge's bench sits in the middle of the room, and a witness stand right in front of it a few yards away. There's a jury box located to the side, but there's no people sitting in it; no, in their place are thorny roses of various shades: red, black, and white.
In the judge's bench sits a young girl, around the age of eighteen, clutching a gavel and dressed in the judge's course outfit for her legal academy. Though, it's definitely not the same outfit; the alterations are minor. The outfit's logo has changed to that of Monobear's face; the ribbon replaced for a red one. Her gaze is stern as she regards those there in the courtroom, and she only speaks four words. Words that lack emotion as she enunciates them:]
How do you plead?
[Guilty or not guilty. The two possible verdicts of court.]
no subject
And then the doors opened, and Veronica was both relieved and horrified.]
Juni! [Veronica ran into the courtroom and looked up at her girlfriend, strangely sitting in a judge's chair. And what was with those clothes?]
...Wha... what's going on?
no subject
[It's said matter-of-factly, as if Juniper had expected Veronica to know that from the very beginning or perhaps she's just being contemptuous.]
If you continue to bombard me with foolish, irrelevant questions, then I shall hold you in contempt of court, Miss Madaraki.
[For emphasis, Juniper raises the gavel with a flick of her wrist, then she raises it down against the desk, a sharp clack resonating through the room.]
Now, I'll ask you again: how do you plead? Guilty or Not Guilty?
no subject
[It was glaringly obvious that there was a trial happening; the fact was, something was seriously off about it.
She winces and stops as the gavel came down, feeling the sound ringing painfully in her modified ears. She needed a moment before she could continue.]
H-how do I... plead? What do you mean?
no subject
[Juniper clicks her tongue and shakes her head. She's silent for a moment after saying that, but then a sudden smile forms on her lips.]
I'll be so kind as to inform you, then.
[She pulls open a drawer from her desk, producing a stack of files. She shuffles the papers on her desk, and with a loud voice, she announces the words on the first paper.]
You, Miss Veronica Madaraki, are being indicted for numerous mass murders. [Here, she lets the stack fall on her desk, returning her gaze to Veronica once more.] Tell me, Miss Madaraki, are you truly a bodyguard? It appears to me that you're nothing more than a... put simply, a murderer.
You enjoy killing, don't you? You enjoy the fear in their eyes. The begging, the screaming. The thrill as your blades plunge deep into their chest. Their warm blood oozing down your hand. That gives you a thrill, doesn't it? You enjoy it, don't you? ...Of course you do, you're nothing more than a mass murderer. Don't you dare tell me otherwise, or I'll have you convicted for perjury, too.
[She grabs her gavel again, the fingers of her opposite hand trailing over the smooth wood idly as she regards Veronica with a thoughtful gaze.]
Hmm, I could pronounce my verdict now... Oh, but the defendant deserves the chance to defend themselves, do they not? You ought to be able to give your testimony... [She gestures towards the garden of roses to the side.] ...and the jury ought to be able to listen. That's how things work in the courtroom, after all.
So, I'll ask once more: are you guilty or not guilty?
no subject
She grit her teeth apprehensively, something was really off about this.]
I... I don't understand, how did you... [She fumbled over her words, trying to find the right ones to say to bring this madness to an end.]
I... I am a bodyguard, first and foremost. It's been my job all my life; literally since my creation, my biological impetrative was to guard my family and others from threat. I've faced off against hundreds of people, willing to kill you and me and anyone else to get what they want and never stopped trying to get it. I killed them, granted them a quick and painless death, to protect others; it's simply the most honorable thing a warrior like me could do!
[She breathed slowly, running a scarred hand through her black locks.]
Juni, this isn't funny anymore. Please stop.

Not guilty!

Very well, Doctor Jookiba. Please present your testimony as to why you are not guilty.
[Though what testimony? Who even knows what Juniper is going on about?]
no subject
[Not that he's entirely sure what he's being accused of.]

[Don't mind Juniper just going through a stack of papers.]
I believe once before you were on trial for the illegal creation of genetic experiments, were you not? You obviously hadn't learned your lesson. I do believe that an experiment by the name of 727, Hope, was just recently created by your hands. That, itself, is deserving of a guilty verdict.

[BITCH THIS AIN'T HER FIRST TRIAL]

Continuance overruled. There's nowhere near enough time for a lawyer to come here, and justice waits for no one~

Excuse me, I don't think this is exactly legal, haha! You can't try me because I'm not human, your honor. Your laws don't apply to me!

Justice does not discriminate.

[He chuckles, leaning on the podium and staring up at Juniper with the smile of a snake.]
Don't you know how silly you sound? Oh, I'm going to judge the being that lived millions of years before I was even a thought! Wow, your reputation as judge will be going out the window. You aren't fit to even be up there, your honor.
no subject
[She snaps back at Sam, feeling her face flush with anger. Being a judge was something that she worked so hard for, and now she finally had the opportunity to do so. To rid the world of evil. She definitely isn't going to let someone as horrible as Sam tell her that she's unfit to be a judge.]
Thousands of years does not matter. All that matters are the crimes that you are guilty of, and how justice will be given.
no subject
[He laughs.] Just a little girl who thinks she's got what it takes to be a real judge...god, Juniper, I pity you, I really do. You're just a timid spineless little girl who thinks playing pretend will make her more powerful than everyone else. But guess what? You're not fit to be up in that judge's chair.
You never were.

However, he has a very definite idea that this is not how this is supposed to be going at all; he isn't going to waste time with formalities because honestly, he isn't even sure how to address the most glaring part of it.
Juniper, of all people.
So he's just going to leave the Donphan in the room alone for now, and try to focus on what's sure to be a rather...interesting interpretation of justice here, blessed Arceus be with him.]
...Not without hearing the charges first.
no subject
[She says it flatly as if she doesn't care, which she doesn't. The only thing that she cares about here is justice; every guilty party would be punished, and the court system would be restored to its pristine glory. There would be no more lies, no swindlers, no bribes; those that are guilty would not be found innocent. They would be executed for their crimes, and the world would gradually become a better place just like Juniper wished so much.]
A scheme to annihilate those deemed unfit to be in your ideal "perfect" world.

[His words are prompt, immediate; almost too fast.]
I wasn't aware that we could be held under penalty of law for our thoughts alone, ma chérie - which, from the sound of it, is all that second charge amounts to.
As for the weapon, I had no hand in creating it.
no subject
Though you may not have created this weapon yourself, you certainly planned for it to be created. The one who had actually built it was nothing more than your accomplice.
no subject
Surely we're not visiting down the sins of the fathers?
[...sorry was there more to that
his selective hearing is clearly acting up]
