Hello, lovelies, and welcome to DRRP's second annual Mock Trial! Congratulations on surviving the reserveucopia! We have an entire crop of newbies this cycle and all three of us mods are ecstatic to have you.

At some point today (4/21) the IC mingle post will be going up in the main comm (danganroleplay ). If you have any questions in regards to the game please feel free to hit up the mod plurk (monomods ) or one of our personals (resplendentri , winterbolt and frickninja) and have a look at our last official round's FAQ for how the game/trial mechanics work! The mock trial investigation will be going up Friday, April 24th between 12 pm and 2 pm EST and the trial will be posted Saturday April 25th between 12 pm and 2 pm EST barring any OOC circumstances that might delay them.

In the meantime feel free to use this post to get to know your fellow tributes students and introduce yourselves. Make friends and then suffer gleefully as you wait to see if they'll end up going to the big murder train in the sky! That's the name of the game after all!

U-UM HI THERE. My Name is Jami and I have been stalking after this game for a while so I am super excited to have a shot at round three and REALLY EXCITED I GOT INTO THE MOCK TRIAL.

Anyway I have Eiji from the infamous Kamen Rider franchise. As you can expect from a protagonist from a kids show, he's not putting up with any evil doing and he is going to be very unhappy about all this murder. That aside he dresses like he walked out of woodstock and is a world traveler and mostly homeless. He's a dumb friendly moron who talks about underwear a lot.

Expect complaints about how needlessly unwieldy and specific it is. Seriously, there are so many better options! SHSL Bishoujo, SHSL Detective Assistant.... Isn't this overdoing it?

As for Hiyono herself, she's one of those obnoxious newspaper club students who always seems to know everything about everyone due to a combination of a far-reaching network and... less than ethical methods of invstigation. Typical anime high schooler stuff, right? Given she normally makes use of all this knowledge to assist in murder mysteries, don't expect a whole lot of surprise from her when the corpse shows up.

He's the team normal in his RPG party, if that explains much, and not really the most upbeat or quick-thinking guy. Expect him to make stupid conclusions from trial evidence and feel free to chide him for that. But he's a nice guy nonetheless, if a bit quiet, bum-looking, and asleep most of the day (but I assume that time in murderschool fixed his sleeping schedule a bit). Duster not going to like being all these unsavory characters and do his best by avoiding them, and he normally won't put up much of a fight if they harass him.

Hi everyone! I'm Phas, I'll be bringing in this SHSL Professional Troll SHSL Game Designer Maximillion Pegasus from that franchise with the unhealthy obsession with children's trading card games. For the purposes of the mock trial, he's coming from the sequel series Yugioh GX; so while he's still a giant shit-stirrer, he's at least learned the hard way about playing with fire and isn't plotting world domination anymore. He is, however, still thoroughly overdramatic and showy, with a passion for cartoons, painting, and trading cards. And despite that nifty title, he basically stole his game from Ancient Egypt and didn't do much actual game designing before it got big. So he should make a pretty good Dangan, really.

TL;DR - privileged manchild steals from Egyptian culture, menaces Japanese teenagers, not as big a jerk as he used to be.

Yo! I'm Cam, and I'll play your resident dumb Pokémon Trainer for this mock trial and if all goes well hopefully in round 3 oh man round 2 of the reservepocalypse let's rock.

This is Silver from Pokémon Special, this cute little manga based on the Pokémon games where getting a Pokédex basically contractually obligates you to save the world or at least your region at least once. He's the Super High School Level Trader because you know what's great? Trading Pokémon. Trading Pokémon's great. So great that he specializes in it. You go kid, you specialize in that thing that's kind of functionally useless half of the time and use it to save your own neck once or twice.

Like most trainers he loves his Pokémon friends, usually has a pretty optimistic attitude, and generally tries to do the right thing. Unlike most trainers his life is kind of a shit show, so he's pretty quiet and makes some questionable decisions. Good thing he's on a murder train!

Hello cool kids! My name is Mimi :D I'm so so so pumped to be here, and especially so because I'm bringing in SHSL Stalker (she is going to be so very unhappy with that name...) Ringo Oginome from Mawaru Penguindrum. It's that one anime made by the Utena guy about penguins, destiny, and child abandonment! Ringo is... a high school girl who is half really normal and half really weird? Her canon starts out with her being this crazy high school chick that is hardcore stalking a high-school teacher because ~*DESTINY*~ told her too, but by the end of the series her backstory breaks your heart and she somehow ends up being the most sane and normal person in the show?

Yeah, idk, it's a weird anime.

But anyway, I promise she's a sweetheart (deep down) even if she can be kind of prickly and has a tendency to fly off the handle and be really over dramatic about all her emotions. But in her heart of hearts she is suuuper determined and really loyal to her friends and loved ones, so she's not really a bad egg :'). Hello, everyone! My name is Sarah (although there is another Sarah too) at Plurk slothdere (not to be confused with slothbless) and so basically I'm here to copycat everyone, I have gathered.

I'm bringing Luca Trulyworth, one of the main girls from the crazy trip that is Ar Tonelico 2! She's the SHSL Singing Maiden, 'cos not only is she one of the two Maidens of Metafalss, but she is a Reyvateil! Reyvateils are basically techno-singing maidens with a lot of little weird quirks and yet still the ability to be totally shaggable (sfw, only leg showing) by protagonists. Hello despairfriends! I'm Einir bringing you this blood-loving fuck, SHSL Necromancer, Henry, from the Fire Emblem series! He's cheerful and perky and really loves blood! Both on other people and himself. ("It's a medical condition~")

He's a soldier, and prefers to have a leader to take orders from than to make his own decisions, and very much enjoys death and killing, so he will look like a very good candidate for a suspect! Even if he's totally innocent.

I'm super excited to play him with all this new cr! I've never put him in a game before, though I play SHSL Messiah The female Persona 3 Protagonist in both apprenticewanted and monadexe.

This guy is Ulysses, the main character from a sci-fi cartoon from 1981 called Ulysses 31 that no one's ever heard of. (It was actually Dic's first cartoon, with Mysterious Cities of Gold being the second and Inspector Gadget being the third, if I remember correctly. And now you know!)

The show is pretty much "The Odyssey IN SPACE!", although thankfully Ulysses is not nearly as much of a dick as Odysseus. He's not very emotional, other than being pretty physically affectionate. (See icon. If this was a real round, everyone who's not a total dick would probably get a hug at some point. You still might get hugged.) He also has the determination of a shounen protagonist, so there's that.

(Oh and he has a smidgen of divine blood if your character can detect that sort of thing! I don't think it'll come up because power nerfs probably, but you never know.)

Hi, I'm Jess, a newcomer to the bloodbath but a stalker since Round 2. For the Mock Trial, I'm bringing in Margulis from Xenosaga, as the SHSL Inquisitor. For purposes of playability in a setting like this, he'll be coming in from the end of the second game. What does that mean? Well, primarily, it means that he's a completely remorseless Knight Templar who has sacrificed literally billions for 'the greater good' and would do so again without batting an eye. He's also temperamental, abrasive and generally unpleasant, although he has his softer side that comes out with people he considers worthy of respect.

Oh, he's also from 5200 years in the future, lives IN SPAAAAACE and part of his life's goal is to find Earth. And he's the High Inquisitor of a branch of Space Christianity, though the culture's history is not unlike Space Jews. Just...expect him to be full of religious dogma and kind of internally geek out about Earth stuff.
