One last thing before I graduate
CONGRATULATIONS ALL 30 PLAYERS OF DANGAN ROLEPLAY ROUND 2! Because of your mighty thirst and exquisite playing, you unlocked the Golden Ending and saved everyone.
...you also ended the game a full two days earlier than originally scheduled. But we promised that you'd get an epi-log on the 6th, and even though you've already technically gotten it, that just means we're giving you one that's even better!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, MONODAD?
It means, we're having DRRP's first official Open Log, to close out a fantastic round! Basically, for this last log, everyone's going to party at the Future Foundation, with all their missing memories from the assembling of Hope's Army.
"OPEN LOG?" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHO IS IT OPEN TO?
EVERYONE! We're not kidding. The characters welcome in the final log include not just the Round 2 participants, but also
- Round 1 participants
- Dangan Ronpa survivors (Naegi and co.)
- Super Dangan Ronpa 2 characters AND
- Friends and family of Round 2 participants from their own worlds.
Edit for clarification: Aside from Sycamore and Serena (and Prince Genocide, ofc, but Prince Genocide is staying put), Pokemon characters are not eligible to participate. The other regions are all a little uuuuuuUUUUHHHH... about an entire region being effectively nuked, and Kalos is busy rebuilding.
...OKAY, THERE'S GOT TO BE A CATCH. RULES? ANYTHING?
Well, yes, there are some rules.
1) No Playercest. This means that Round 2 participants can't also bring in a close canonmate for this log (Goku-mun can't also bring Sanzo, Tobias-mun can't also bring Ax, etc). Use your common sense for this one, but if you're confused just ask.
2) Sign-Ups Required. While this is an open log, we don't want to have, like, four Elsas. So while people who didn't participate in Round 2 are welcome to bring in (or bring back) characters who fit the above criteria, we ask that everyone (Round 2 participants included) leave a comment on this post with the character names and usernames that you'll be tagging with, so that we can have some tenuous chance of moderating this without it becoming a complete clusterfuck.
2-A) First Come First Serve. This means not only the slots for characters who have yet to appear, but we also expect you to respect it for characters who have been NPC'd by people other than Lynny and Ri at any point in Rounds 1 and 2 (Naegi, Kuzuryuu, Nanami, Mikan, Komaeda, Saionji, Koizumi, and Gundam, as well as most of the DR1 ghosts if they come up).
3) Conduct. Yes, the rules for conduct still apply. If you show your ass on this log, we'll not only ask you to leave, but it will also be your last impression on us before future rounds, which you...probably don't want, if you intend to try to get in to future rounds.
SO IT'S KIND OF LIKE A TEST DRIVE?
Well, yes and no. If you're thinking of bringing in a character to a future round who fits the criteria to come party, then you're well within your rights to consider it a test drive. But our Mock Trial is still our only "Official" Test Drive.
OKAY, SO WHAT'S THE IC STORY HERE?
It's been a couple months since the end of the Bunker Life of Mutual Killing. Hope's Army and their rescuers were initially tasked with helping Professor Sycamore and Serena rebuild Kalos and find survivors, while Xerneas took care of fixing the egregious amount of bloodshed and death in the region.
But now there are pokemon and people in Kalos again. Not as many as there were before, and few so directly resurrected as Hope's Army, but Kalos is full of life once again.
And Hope's Army is being called back to HQ, with Lysandre and his desbear AI in tow. Sycamore and Serena are invited to return with them for a while, as a gesture of goodwill to make sure that the Future Foundation is making good on their promise not to imprison Lysandre, but it's up to them if they take it. The 28 members of Hope's Army don't have a choice, they have to return (at least temporarily) for their debriefing and to have their memories restored.
During their time rebuilding Kalos, the Future Foundation contacted Hope's Army's loved ones in their own worlds to inform them that everyone survived. They also willingly passed individual messages along. By the time that the log goes up, Hope's Army will have been debriefed, memories restored (including existing memory problems Simon), and either given new assignments (if they chose to stay) or preparing to be sent home. But the Future Foundation has one last pleasant surprise for them.
For some, they did a little more than just contact their friends and loved ones.
...THIS IS GOING TO BE A CLUSTERFUCK, ISN'T IT.
Most likely.
SO IS THIS JUST THE SIGN-UPS POST, OR CAN WE USE IT FOR PLOTTING AS WELL?
You're absolutely welcome to use it for plotting. Make sure that your top-level contains the names and usernames of the characters you plan to bring at least, but feel free to include a summary of the memories that they regained and what they plan on doing next (going home, going back to Kalos to help rebuild some more, or staying in DR-verse to work with the FF). Then, tag around to other people's top-levels and plot with them about how they got along before the Bunker Life of Mutual Killing, whether their plans for the future coincide, and all that good stuff!
We're not closing sign-ups or capping them at a certain number. As long as you sign up before you tag in and your character isn't already being played, go ahead and come on in!
MY CHARACTER WOULDN'T HAVE AGREED TO JOIN HOPE'S ARMY AT THE CANON POINT I PUT ON MY APP. CAN I INCLUDE MEMORIES OF A NEW ONE THAT THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER TO CONVINCE AT?
Yes. If you think there's a point in your canon better suited to update to, that canon update can be included in the memories regained from the FF. Just let us know if you do.
WHAT IF THERE'S NOT ONE/MY CANON'S ONGOING/I HAVEN'T FINISHED IT?
Then assumedly your character will be part of the "going home" faction. You can assume that they were originally taken from a point more appropriate for recruiting, but that Lysandre's brain-punching worked a little too well for the time being, if that makes it easier.
I WASN'T IN ROUND 2, CAN WE GET A SUMMARY OF WHAT HAPPENED?
We mods won't be providing an official summary of round 2. If you're interested in tagging into the log, presumably you've either been following round 2 or have been recruited by someone who was in round 2, so either way you should know what happened.
