We as mods are super excited to have you all here (you might even say we're Super High School Level Excited, if you're feeling like wordplay today) and we're hoping you all have a blast this...semester, upupupu~

But before we send you all off to murderschool, let's get to know each other a little better, shall we? Feel free to use this post to introduce yourselves as players, plot with each other, screech incoherently, wonder what your characters did to deserve this, the whole nine yards. And don't forget to leave your contact information, should you want to give it! AIM, Plurk, what particular shorthand you use when sending out smoke signals, whatever's good.

Hi guys! I'm Redd and I'm reclaiming another jerk from round one in the form of Frank Archer, the SHSL Investigator!

...Investigator, you might ask? If you had one of those why didn't the trials go smoother and why didn't everyone figure out who the murderers were early on in the case? WELL SEE THAT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT'S ARCHER AND HE'S A FAILURE AT LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE DOES. Sometimes it almost looks like he's going to succeed and then he dials it up to eleven and fails so hard it's spectacular. Obviously I'm doing a great job of taking him seriously.

So! For the canon blind, Archer is from Fullmetal Alchemist. Not just any Fullmetal Alchemist though, he only appears in the first anime. Yeah, that's right; he's a character created solely for the first anime (take that how you will). Archer is a warmongering asshole who can't seem to decide what exactly he wants to do (other than start wars and be hailed as a war hero despite having no battle experience). Despite his ever-changing motives and rather ridiculous end-goal, Archer is an intelligent individual who tries to act classy. It doesn't work, mind you, but he tries. Oh god does he try. He's also in cahoots with the local Evil Organization known as the Homunculi, creatures that aren't human and have total control over the government. So yeah, he's perfectly willing to serve a corrupt organization as long as he gets what he wants. ...To be fair, he's actually blackmailing the corrupt government leader, but y'know, that's what you do when you have sensitive information! OR ELSE YOU GET KILLED LIKE HUGHES. (He's also Hughes' successor; the more you know!!)

...But most importantly, late in the series Archer becomes this. That's official art. It's legit. It happens. And it's the funniest thing in the entire series. HOWEVER I'm taking Archer from before that point, because after he loses half his body he loses what's left of his sanity and that's not as much fun to play.

Archer is also from round one of DRP! What does that mean? Well that means he'll be getting memories back from round one instead of canon! For those of you who didn't follow Archer in round one, he pretty much spent the entire time not making friends and occasionally getting accused of murder (YOU ASSHOLES ACCUSED HIM BECAUSE HE WROTE WITH A PEN HE WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU once he remembers that is). Archer was also responsible for the double-culprit murder case with Lysandre. You know, the one where they bisected Jumba and then slept together to create an alibi? Yeah. That one.

So Archer's a hot mess, but that's not exactly surprising. He's going to be even more of a mess once he starts to get those memories back, so look forward to that!

I didn't get to see it until I was like sixteen, but oh man do I know this feeling. I didn't care about him until that happened and by then I was just made of WHY over the entire series that it became hilarious instead of off-putting. SO YES, I KNOW THIS FEEL.

OH GOD YES PLEASE. Archer having positive CR with Kotomine is an amazing thought. Hopefully they don't plot to murder anyone together. Assuming Archer manages to not fuck up their first interaction.......... (unsure)

Can I just say I love you for playing Archer? The 2003 anime was like... babby's first big fandom so I still have a soft spot for all those anime only characters so I lost my shit when I saw him in round 1 gfkljhkfl

Hahaha, same here! I will always love the 2003 anime for that and Archer ended up being my favorite character somehow, so playing him in a game where he suffers is always awesome! \o/
