You asked for it, we're finally giving it to you! Say hello to the mastermind meme!

What does this mean exactly? It means your character is the one responsible for everything! They've been controlling Monobear from the shadows (or maybe they have an assistant to help them, possibly even one of your classmates!), they've been putting forth the motives, running the trials, all of it! And now they've finally chosen to reveal themselves and their true motives.

What are their motives? Why do they want to spread despair? Are they somehow connected to the late Junko Enoshima? And most importantly what is their snazzy Monobear-themed look like? You decide!

Threading reactions is highly encouraged and feel free to AU things up to mix up our current survivor pool as much as you'd like.

"If you're going to continue arguing the point, ma chérie, I suppose I can humor you for now - tell me about these people you've killed. Why were they after you? What made you the person with the right to decide their fate? Isn't it possible that some of them were only doing their job? Do you know what their intentions were, or how justified they may have seen themselves as?

"After all, I'm a terrible person, we can both agree on that - at the same time, I believe myself to be justifiably so. How do you know that those you've killed didn't believe themselves to be in the right - that to them, you aren't the one deciding to take their lives away while they're doing what they think should be done?"

"I was protecting my father." she stated flatly, trying to drive the point home like a hammer to a nail. "He's the greatest doctor in the world. He can do anything. We were being hunted by yakuza, and gang members, and secret societies, all trying to take his knowledge and use it for their own, selfish and destructive purposes. They. Didn't. Stop. No matter what I did, they would keep coming."

Veronica eyes were steeled, and her jaw was set. "I did everything in my power to protect those I cared about. what about you, Lysandre? Don't you have anyone that you care about?"

[holocast]

He doesn't falter far, though he does hesitate before he responds; that odd, brightly alive look in his eyes is still present, however. "I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't."

"Then how can you argue my methods then, if you're aren't any different."

[holocast]

"I'm not the one trying to take some sort of moral high ground, now, am I?"

"No, but I just want to be sure that you're not ruling yourself out of the whole thing. You know, that is pretty hypocritical."

[holocast]

Oh, that's amused him, clearly. "Are you going to kill me, Veronica?"

That's when he stands up, his stance confident as Gyarados uncoils itself, taking to the air in its full 6.5 meter glory; Lysandre doesn't give it any commands, however - his gaze remains on her, his hands down to his sides but open.

"Come, then, ma chérie. You're more than welcome to it."

She eyes the meters long serpent calmly. If he was looking for fear, he's going to be disappointed. Her eyes are as clouded as ever. Something rustled underneath her cloak.

"Do you want me to kill you?" It's an honest question that she might as well ask.

[holocast]

Lysandre doesn't break eye contact; his breathing is quick, shallow, but otherwise he seems to be holding steady, remaining calm and open-stanced. "I'll remind you that violence against the Headmaster will bring a toll, but I've no interest in killing you. You won't be attacked if you choose to attack me, and you won't be penalized if you stay your hand. I simply want to give you the opportunity. Don't you deserve that much?"

"..." Slowly, her head fell until she was looking at the floor. She suddenly found it quite hard to look at him, at the man she had followed through most of the murder investigation.

"...It shouldn't be like this." Veronica finally willed herself to speak, her tone tired and saddened. "Of all people... why you? I... I trusted you..."
